Neff Built Under Oven Overview
The single ovens are Neff’s ‘flagship appliance’ and they are available either on their own or they can be combined with a built-in microwave. The double ovens have two oven cavities and each of the oven compartments features at least three different cooking options. The range cookers are not available as a Neff built in oven- they are available just as stand alone appliances.
All of the Neff built in ovens incorporative Neff’s own CircoTherm® cooking system, which involves a powerful fan that draws air from the inside of the oven to heat up the air and force it back into the oven cavity through shaped ducts in the rear wall. This system means the oven heats up very quickly, and needs little to no preheating before beginning cooking. CircoTherm® technology can also be used in some of the Neff built under ovens to defrost food- even delicate fresh food such as meat and fish. This is definitely a useful feature if you regularly forget to take the meat out of the freezer before setting off for work.
If you are looking at a Neff built under oven, one of the things that you might want to consider is the height of the appliance. It is far more comfortable to have a stand alone cooking appliance to avoid any bending over or strain on your part. Neff and many other manufacturers usually recommend stand alone appliances in a tall housing rather than appliances that are built under the worktop because tall housing installation of the oven provides a convenient eye level position for the person cooking. But if this does not bother you, there is plenty for you to choose from.
If it simply space that you are trying to save, Neff have also developed some ovens in smaller sizes for cosier kitchens where standard sized appliances are not really an option. There are only a couple of options available. One of these is the compact single CircoTherm® B1724 oven, which is only 45cm high. Neff’s microwave model H5430 fits neatly into a 50cm wide wall cupboard and the smaller appliances can be combined with other small appliances including the mix and match domino hobs and their slim line dishwasher to really save some space in your kitchen.
Since 2003, all electric oven manufacturers including Neff have been required by law to provide energy labels for their appliances. Like all other kitchen appliances such as dishwashers, fridges, freezers, washing machines and dryers, ovens are graded A – G. An appliance that is rated as A for energy efficiency are at the top of the range in terms of being environmentally friendly and energy efficient, whereas appliances that are rated G are the least energy efficient appliances and although they will probably be cheaper initially, will more often than not cost you more in electricity bills that a more energy efficient product. All of the current Neff built under ovens have an energy efficiency rating of either A or B.
